About This Zbr safaris

Landscape:
Instead of savannah, this safari takes place on the turquoise waters of Menai Bay Conservation Area, dotted with small islands, sandbanks, and coral reefs.

Animals & Marine Life:

• Dolphins (bottlenose and humpback) are often seen swimming alongside traditional dhow boats.

• Snorkeling reveals vibrant coral reefs, reef fish, sea stars, and octopuses.

• Seasonal sightings of humpback whales (July–September).

• Rare sightings of sea turtles and whale sharks.

History & Notes:
The term “Safari Blue” was coined to describe this unique ocean safari experience. Local fishermen converted their dhows into tourist boats, offering guided tours that include snorkeling, island picnics, and mangrove explorations.
